First, let's talk about the elephant in the room: what is Huevember?
Huevember is an art challenge that takes place in November, and it was created by Matthieu Dauries on Tumblr in 2014. The challenge is about making an art for each hue in the color wheel every day. The image on the left are the instructions of the art challenge.
What themes should you draw in Huevember?
Well, anything you like! From objects to landscapes, from animals, flowers to food and portraits, even original characters to fan arts. There is no rule about the theme in this art challenge but one: have fun making art.
And as for the medium, you can use whatever you like. From analog/traditional art tools like watercolors, gouache, acrylics, etc.; to digital art like Photoshop, Clip Studio Paint, Krita, etc.
There is no right or wrong way to do this art challenge.
What is the goal of Huevember?
The goal of this art challenge is to get the habit of making art everyday, and to improve your art. Also, to explore new ideas that you never thought you could do.
This is something that other challenges like Inktober and MerMay are doing each year.: to help artists from different levels of expertise to improve their art, unlock their creativity, and have fun.
In my case, I use the theme of pinups because I love drawing manga girls. However, in the following years, I added my fandom in the art challenge, the Equestria Girls.
What is the purpose of my website?
Since I got banned from Instagram in 2025, all my arts that I had posted there had been deleted. And I don't want to leave my arts in limbo and be forgotten.
So, I made this website to keep showing my arts online, and perhaps to inspire you to do the same if you want to be an artist.
